Grades 3-6

The Upper Elementary grades use the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) Program.  The mission of this program is to provide biblically-based individualized education to the student.  The curriculum is also known for its high quality and character-building.

Accelerated Christian Education's concepts are based on the following Five Basic Laws of Learning:

  • A child must be at a level where he can perform.
  • He must have reasonable goals.
  • His learning must be controlled, and he must be motivated.
  • His learning must be measurable.
  • His learning must be rewarded.

Upon entering, a student is given a series of diagnostic tests that determine his level of learning and concepts that he may need to have reinforced before moving on to the next level.  He then works at his own pace and does not have to keep up with or be hindered by the entire class.  This student-centered curriculum has proven to be a very successful approach to learning.

Our Core Curriculum consists of Math, English, Social Studies, Science, Literature and Creative Writing, and Word Building in a PACE format.

Each student is assigned their own office space.  The purpose of the individual office is to minimize distractions and permit the student to focus on their responsibilities.

Goal setting is basic to student success.  Students are trained to set daily assignments as steps necessary to maintain continuous progress, which is part of a life-training process.

In addition to the Core Curriculum, we also offer music, art, computer, and physical education on a weekly basis.  We participate in an annual spelling bee, track and field day, and the S.O.S. program.

We have daily devotions and monthly Scripture memorization.

For our 5th & 6th grade students, we offer basketball and volleyball.
