High School
The Life Academy Senior High
School is a family in many ways. Our small classes, with an average of 8 students per class, our unified
dedication to academics and our unwavering loyalty to each other in our sports programs have resulted into an
amazing group of students.
We utilize the ABeka curriculum in the Life Academy Senior High School. This program allows for advancement
beyond that often offered in other curriculums. Classes consist of the 4 cores of Mathematics, Social
Studies, Language and Science varying according to grade level. We also offer several electives that include
Computer, Sewing, Greek, Art, Art History, Sign Language and Creative Writing. These classes change at the
semester and other classes may be offered along with these.
Field trips are used as a means of education and socialization. In the past, we have taken trips to various
local places and also to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial. We also have an
annual end of the year camping trip locally. In addition, there is a yearly senior trip. In the past we have
visited Los Angeles and this year we plan to visit the Gulf Coast.
Our sports program currently incorporates a co-ed volleyball team in the fall and separate boys’ and girls’
basketball teams in winter. We play various other area Christian schools and all sports teams participate in
a tournament at the end of the season.
We encourage a true relationship with God at Life Academy. Weekly chapel services are provided with lively
worship music and different speakers.
